Growing in Faith in Chapel
This school year has gotten off to a fantastic start! Although classes are just beginning, chapel has already become an essential part of student life and spiritual growth at Eden. Each week, students gather across our campuses to worship, hear God’s Word, and be challenged to live out their faith in practical ways. These moments of prayer, praise, and teaching not only strengthen their walk with Christ but also help build a sense of unity and fellowship within the Eden community.
As President David Schutt shared, “We know your hopes for your children extend far beyond academics. You desire for them to grow in wisdom, character, and, most importantly, in their relationship with Christ. This is our shared vision—and it is already coming to life.”
Chapel continues to be a beautiful reminder that at Eden, education is more than academics; it is about shaping both the mind and the heart for Christ.

Volleyball Service Project at Concordia – Villa St. Joseph
Our ECA volleyball girls had a wonderful day at Concordia – Villa St. Joseph, bringing the excitement of a match to the residents. The gym was filled with joy and encouragement. Thanks to Baden Academy for allowing us to use their gym, which made the day a celebration. After the match, we played beach ball volleyball with the residents, and their smiles said it all. The team concluded the day by praying together and sharing a meal, which reminded us that the love of Christ can be shown through play, fellowship, and being present with one another. We are grateful for our partnership with Concordia and look forward to its growth in the future.

College in High School Chemistry Students Working in the Lab
Students in our College in High School (CHS) Chemistry course (in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh) put science into action with a chromatography experiment! By exploring polarity differences, they successfully separated the red and blue dye molecules in grape Kool-Aid. This lab gave them a fun, hands-on opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world applications of chemistry. We love seeing our students discover how God’s creation is beautifully designed, even at the molecular level!

Steel City Clarinet Day
Mrs. Guidroz and junior Emily Johnson recently participated in Steel City Clarinet Day, a dynamic and enriching event for clarinetists. The day included masterclasses, a clarinet choir rehearsal featuring musicians from middle school students to professionals, and clinics on PMEA district music led by featured artist Gunnery Sergeant Shannon Kiewitt of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band. Emily shared her experience, saying: “Steel City Clarinet Day was a wonderful event; I loved that clarinetists of all ages and experience levels were able to come together to play challenging and fun pieces. I also enjoyed the different breakout sessions, like the Clarinet in the Latin American Repertoire and the masterclass on the PMEA audition piece. President's September Reflections
In his first message of the school year, President David Schutt shared his gratitude for the Eden community and his vision for a year of growth in Christ. He reminded us that at Eden, we have unity “rooted in shared values, shared faith, and a shared commitment to raising children who know, love, and follow Jesus.” What a joy to know that at Eden, education is more than academic excellence. “We are shaping not only minds but hearts. We are nurturing character. And we are doing it together—in partnership with you.”
Dr. Schutt highlighted the gift of koinonia, a deep fellowship with God and with one another through the work of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, as central to Eden’s mission. As we welcome new families, students, and teachers, he encouraged all of us to move forward in unity, joy, and grace.

Geometry Word Quest
In Mrs. Sprowls’ CP Geometry class, students put their vocabulary knowledge to the test with a fun activity called Word Quest! Similar to the game Heads Up, students worked in teams using Geometry vocabulary words. One student held the word card while classmates gave clues, but instead of reading the textbook definition, they had to explain the term in their own words. This interactive game not only brought energy and laughter to the classroom but also helped students deepen their understanding by practicing how to define and communicate key Geometry concepts.

Mission Trip to Costa Rica
We are so grateful for the answered prayers during our eight-day mission to Costa Rica, where 49 participants safely traveled, built three houses, and worshiped with the local church in Pavas. Sharing gifts collected by the Eden community and spending time with the children through Bible stories and crafts was deeply moving. Over three days, the team worked joyfully to build homes, ending with a heartfelt ceremony as families received their keys.

Flat Warrior had a Summer of Fun!
This summer, our Flat Warrior traveled near and far with ECA families, spreading Warrior pride and making memories along the way. He accompanied the volleyball team on their adventures to Ohiopyle and the WVU Coliseum. He also stopped at Harbour Town on Hilton Head Island, soaked up the sun at Fenwick Island, DE, and Surfside Beach, SC, and rode the Duquesne Incline in Pittsburgh. His travels took him across the globe to Turkey, out on the water at Lake Norman, North Carolina, through the bustle of New York City, and even courtside at the U.S. Open! Thank you to everyone who brought Flat Warrior along for the ride. We loved seeing how connected our ECA family stayed all summer long!

The Eden Christian Academy Varsity Baseball Team had another year of outstanding accomplishments both on and off the field!
The Warriors began their season with a focus on physical, strategic, and mental readiness. To help prepare the team, they welcomed guest speakers, including Steelers Chaplain Kent Chevalier, North Way Christian Community's Lead Pastor Dave D'Angelo, and former Pittsburgh Pirate Michael McHenry. McHenry not only offered encouragement but surprised the team by joining them in practice, sharing insights on strategy, mental preparation, and sportsmanship. Each speaker emphasized the importance of honoring and glorifying God in every aspect of life. Brady Hull, Noah Emswiler, and Brett Feldman earned both First Team All-Section and All-State Honors. Coach Mark Feldman was also named Single A Coach of the Year. Our Warriors wrapped up an incredible season, finishing 2nd in the PIAA 1A State Championship and ranked 3rd in the WPIAL! -
Juniors Help EduNations
During the months of March and April, the junior Bible class took on the goal of raising funds to help an organization called EduNations, a faith-based, non-profit organization that builds and operates schools in under-resourced communities. They seek to educate children, ignite hope, and transform their lives. One of their programs is called "Meals for Mariatu." This program specifically raises funds to feed school children in the African country of Sierra Leone. The fifty students of the junior Bible class were divided into seven groups (of six to seven students each) and were tasked with raising funds to meet this need. Each group set a goal to raise $330, which is enough to feed five students for a month. The groups came up with individual strategies to raise these funds, including the following: concessions at a volleyball event, a lunch time raffle, a dodgeball tournament, a waffle breakfast, scoops and spoons (an ice cream bar and games during study hall), selling various food options during lunch, and morning donut sales.
